Your Instructors
Gail Yellen is the owner of Gail Patrice Design. Her collection of jacket and skirt patterns with simple, flattering lines provide a perfect backdrop for a wide variety of embellishment techniques. She is an active member of the American Sewing Guild CT chapter and teaches many sewing/serging events nationwide for ASG chapters and major sewing expos. She was named Teacher of the Year (2015) at the American Sewing Expo in Novi, MI. Gail is frequently featured in Threads magazine and has written a series of serger specialty feet & attachments articles for them. Her books, including Serger Essentials and It's All About Embellishment. Designing patterns for beautiful clothes and bags is the heart of Gail Patrice Design and sharing her love of sewing/serging is the soul. She has an extensive collection of Serger Tip Clip videos on her YouTube channel and teaches online at Craftsy.com.
Jennifer Stern Hasemann is the owner and designer at J Stern Designs. She has a solid background in pattern design and drafting, fit and construction. Her original line of fashion patterns features classic jeans, a cup-sized fitted shirt and a unique tee and she's currently working on a new Easy Fit and Sew Knit Collection. Her focus is drafting flattering patterns with easy to follow instructions and fitting techniques. She loves to share a wide variety of sewing, serging, fitting and construction techniques via her J Stern Designs YouTube Channel where she currently has over 100 video tutorials. Additionally, she teaches for the Master Seamstress Program at URI and online at Craftsy.com and patternreview.com.
